Homemade Cherry Pie Filling


cherry-167361__1804 cups sour cherries (fresh or frozen)

1 cup cherry or cran-cherry juice

1/4 cup corn starch

3/4 cup sugar

pinch salt


1.  Mix all ingredients in a saucepan, stir often and bring to a boil over a medium heat.

2.  Reduce to a low simmer and cook for 8 minutes more. Stir occasionally.
