Balsamic glaze sets the stage for these hard to resist appetizers. They are fun to put together, look and taste amazing.
1/2 cup balsamic glaze
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 lb. tortellini, cooked and rinsed with cold water
30 grape or cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
1 lb. mini fresh mozzarella balls or fresh mozzarella cut into 60 even pieces
60 pieces of fresh basil leaves, small or cut in 1/2 or 1/4 lengthwise if large
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Sprinkle of salt and pepper
30 (6 inch) skewers
1. Mix balsamic glaze and olive oil together. Pour onto a serving platter and spread evenly.
2. Thread skewers in the order of tortellini, tomato, basil, mozzarella and repeat the pattern once again.
3. Place onto the serving platter. Dust with oregano, salt and pepper.
Ready to serve.
